Ayurveda has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My journey truly began when I visited the Ayurvedic & Unani Tibbia College in Delhi with my father to meet my great-grandfather, who served there as a professor. That experience left a deep impression on me and inspired me to dedicate my life to the science of Ayurveda.

Walking through the halls of the college and witnessing the depth of traditional Ayurvedic knowledge made me realize that Ayurveda is not just a system of medicine — it is a philosophy of balanced and natural living.

After completing my studies, I decided to pursue the path of healing through Ayurveda.

In 1995, I established Chetan Clinic in Badarpur with a simple mission — to help people live healthier lives through natural and traditional remedies.

During my clinical practice, I started preparing a few Ayurvedic formulations based on classical Ayurvedic texts and practical experience. Over time, people began experiencing positive results, and their trust encouraged me to expand further.

As the demand grew, I realized that these formulations could help many more people beyond the clinic.

This led to the establishment of Chetan Herbals Private Limited in 2005, with the vision of bringing authentic Ayurvedic products to people across the country under the trusted Chetan brand.

While building the brand, one question remained very important to me: What should the brand be called?

After thoughtful consideration, I chose the name “Chetan.”

Because the word itself reflects the philosophy of Ayurveda.

“Che” represents nourishing or nurturing, and “Tan” represents the human body.

Together, Chetan symbolizes the nourishment and care of the body through natural Ayurvedic wisdom.

The name perfectly represents our mission — to nurture the body naturally and restore balance through Ayurveda.

My wife Mamta Gupta is a qualified pharmacist, has played an important role in shaping the philosophy of our products.

She always reminded me of one simple principle:
